FITCHBURG HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATION - FRIDAY, JUNE 6, 2026
As we prepare to celebrate the Fitchburg High School Class of 2026, please note several important reminders regarding arrival, parking, accessibility accommodations, and security procedures for graduation.
Timing Will Be Critical
With ongoing construction in the area, limited parking near the venue, security screening requirements, and a large number of guests expected to attend, timing will be critical on the evening of graduation.
Families are strongly encouraged to arrive early and allow ample time for parking, walking to the field, and passing through security screening. Guests arriving close to the start of the ceremony should anticipate delays. The ceremony will begin promptly, and we want all guests seated and ready to celebrate our graduates.
Entrances and Accessibility Access
The primary entrance for graduation guests will be the Circle Street entrance. Graduation tickets will be collected at this location, and all guests will pass through security screening before entering the facility.
For guests requiring accessibility accommodations, the Broad Street gate will be available as an accessibility drop-off location. Guests may be dropped off at this entrance before vehicles proceed to parking.
Accessibility parking spaces closest to the venue are reserved for vehicles displaying a valid accessibility placard or accessibility license plate.
Parking
Parking will be available throughout the Crocker Field area, including municipal and commercial lots located within walking distance. Additional parking is available in lots farther from the venue for guests who do not mind a longer walk. Limited parking may also be available along portions of Broad Street, subject to availability and any applicable parking restrictions.
Please review the parking map prior to arrival and allow additional travel time due to construction activity and increased traffic volume associated with graduation.
On the map, areas outlined in blue indicate available general parking, while areas outlined in red indicate accessibility parking and accessibility access areas.
Security Screening
As was the case during Class Relays, all guests entering Crocker Field will pass through weapons detection systems before entering the venue.
To help expedite entry for everyone, we strongly encourage guests to leave bags, purses, backpacks, and other large personal items at home whenever possible. Metal water bottles, insulated tumblers, thermoses, and similar containers may also slow the screening process and should be avoided.
Our goal is to move guests through security as efficiently as possible while maintaining a safe environment for all attendees.
Venue Reminders
To ensure all families can enjoy the ceremony and celebrate their graduates, balloons, air horns, whistles, cowbells, and other noise-making devices are not permitted inside Crocker Field.
Guests planning to wear heels, particularly narrow or stiletto-style heels, are strongly encouraged to use heel protectors. These devices help prevent damage to the turf field and provide a stable footing while walking on the surface.
Entry and Re-Entry
Guests are encouraged to enter the venue upon arrival and remain for the duration of the ceremony.
In coordination with the Fitchburg Police Department and event security personnel, re-entry will not be permitted during the first hour of the ceremony.
Weather Reminder
Friday's ceremony is expected to take place under very warm conditions. Please be aware that temperatures inside the stadium may feel warmer than the forecasted air temperature. The turf field, track surface, concrete walkways, and surrounding pavement retain heat throughout the day and can contribute to warmer conditions during the ceremony, particularly in the early evening.
Guests are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, remain hydrated, and bring plastic water bottles if desired.
We appreciate your cooperation and support as we prepare for this special evening. We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of the Fitchburg High School Class of 2026 with you and your family.
